What should I do if my pet has worms?

We recommend that you call our team immediately and schedule an appointment as soon as possible. Remember, a number of worms can be passed on from your pet to you and other people/animals in your household. It’s important that your pet gets the treatment they need right away, to prevent further harm not only for them, but for others around you. Please refrain from touching any worm sites with your bare hands, and disinfect areas or objects like food bowls that your pet frequently touches.

How do vets get rid of worms in pets?

It depends on the severity of the infestation and your pet’s specific health situation. An oral or injectable medication may be used to kill/remove the worms from your pet’s system. In extremely rare cases, surgical intervention may be needed.
